The White House, the Democratic House, and the Republican Senate are about to stage a theatrical effort, to make it look like they are doing everything possible, to restore the pay-checks of 800,000 federal workers.

Republican Senate Majority Leader: Mitch McConnell laid the groundwork for a vote tomorrow, on a Democratic proposal to fund the government for three weeks, without attaching the 5.7 billion dollars of the US-Mexico Border Wall, demanded by US President Donald Trump.

The Senate leader has also said, he would also bring up for a vote, a proposal to end the shutdown put forward by Trump, which includes border wall funding, and relief for “Dreamers,” who are people brought illegally to the United States as children.

However, the plan is unlikely to pass in the Senate, and had even less chance in the Democratic-led House of Representatives
