Former DIG Nalaka De Silva and the Indian national implicated in the alleged ‘VIP Assassination Plot’, have been re-remanded until the 13th of next month.
This order was given by Colombo Fort Magistrate: Priyantha Liyanage, today.
When the case was taken up for hearing today, the CID submitted in Court, a 14-page report on the uncovered mobile phone conversations, said to have taken place between the Former DIG and the plaintiff, Namal Kumara.

The CID further apprised Court, upon the investigations carried out, a justifiable suspicion arises, since the Former DIG and Namal Kumara have met with each other on several occasions outside their offices, while the Former DIG has also sent messages through his representatives to Namal Kumara on several occasions.

The Magistrate ordered the CID to submit the Investigation Report, in Court, in the coming days.
