A delegation from the IMF arrived in the island yesterday, to find the feasibility to provide tranche of 260 million dollars to Sri Lanka. The representatives will hold crucial discussions with Central Bank, Treasury, and Finance ministry officials on Monday. The 5th instalment of this loan facility was scheduled to be given in November last year. However, the IMF has to postpone the procedure due to the political instability in the country last year. The IMF delegation has rescheduled the visit on the request of the Sri Lankan government.
