Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has emphasized the need to move forward with new technology to work with the global economy.
Prime Minister said that the digital education system has been launched which is needed for the digital economy by creating smart classrooms in schools. The Prime Minister pointed out that the cabinet has given its approval to provide tabs for GCE Advanced Level students of all schools in the country.
He expressed these views while attending functions to vest with the students the two-storied technological building at Gampaha, Ganemulla Hemamali Vidyalaya and the three-storied classroom building and the three-storied technological building of Galahitiyawa Central College under the nearest school – best school concept.
The national ceremony to vest with the students 200 projects under the nearest school – best school national programme will be held tomorrow morning at Kuliyapitiya Urban Council Ground under the patronage of the Prime Minister.
