Police in New Zealand have confirmed, there are multiple fatalities after shootings at two mosques in the city of Christchurch. Police said three men and one woman are in custody. Witnesses told local media they saw people bleeding on the ground outside the Al Noor mosque. Authorities advised all mosques to shut down until further notice. All Christchurch schools are on lockdown. Police confirmed a second shooting occurred at the Linwood mosque but no details were immediately available. New Zealand media reported that between nine and 27 people were killed, but the death toll could not be confirmed. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said this will be one of New Zealand’s darkest days.
