All preparations have been made to hold the 10th Yovun Puraya at the Ministry of Livestock Development at Weeravila in Hambanthota.
The participation of youth representing many areas of the country is anticipated during the Yovun Puraya, which will be held from the 27th to the 31st of this month.
Around 8,300 participants are expected, representing local and foreign youth, youth achievers, scouts, cadets, prefects and also those representing the Youth Parliament.
A number of programmes have been designed to promote sports, culture, art, education, and also entrepreneurships and job opportunities. This year’s theme focuses on creating an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience on national reconciliation.
At the Yovun Puraya, the youth will receive the opportunity to participate in feedback sessions by creating a dialogue between the youth on national policies and development, information technology and the use of media, while pioneering the youth effort in the National Drug Prevention Programme.
