The Prime Minister requests the public servants to use electricity sparingly

Addressing the meeting, Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe requests the members of the Sri Lanka Administrative service to take effective measures to ensure that electricity is used sparingly in government offices until the present power crisis ends.

He further stated that use of electricity should be restricted only for the essential businesses and generators owned by the government offices should put into operation to avoid temporarily the usage of power from the main grid.

The president has appointed a committee to recommend the measures needed to take in view of the present power crisis and its report of it would be presented to the cabinet and the parliament as well.

The premier revealed that the power to the temple trees is been supplied by generators till the end of the power crisis.
