The Civil Aviation Authority announced that the use of all drones and unmanned aircraft within Sri Lankan airspace has been prohibited until further notice. The decision has been taken after considering the prevailing security situation in the country. The CAA says all the permits issued by the authority will be cancelled with immediate effect.

Meanwhile JAPANESE media reports that the body of a Japanese woman Kaori Takahashi killed in Sunday’s bombing attacks in Sri Lanka has returned home, accompanied by her family. She had been living in Colombo with her husband and two children. She was apparently having breakfast at the Shangri-La Hotel with her family when a blast occurred.
