The committee report on regulating Madraza Schools was handed over to Prime Minsiter Ranil Wickremasinghe by Muslim Religious Affairs Minister M.H.A.Haleem today. After obtaining the observations of the Attorney General and Legal Draftsmen the report will be submit to the Cabinet. The Prime Minister’s Office said that thereafter steps would be taken to approve the new clause. When preparing the report attention has been paid on the laws implemented in other countries and the regulations related to Sri Lanka’s Piriven Education. According to the report it is expected in future to introduce a common regulation framework to regulate all Madraza schools.
