A grace Period to settle the loans of the tourism sector

Minister John Amaratunga says all foreigners arriving in Sri Lanka as tourists will be insured. A relief package has also been issued to uplift the tourism sector.

The VAT on various sectors of tourism will be reduced. A grace period will also be granted for the tourism sector entrepreneurs to pay back their loans. The cabinet has already given approval to a proposal in this regard.

Minister John Amaratunga revealed these facts joining special debate in parliament yesterday.

Joining the debate parliamentarian Faizer Mustafa said that Muslim community is totally against terrorism.

Minister Thilak Marapona said that all citizens should extend their fullest support the three armed forces and police in conducting security operations.
