President Maithripala Sirisena has emphasized that terrorism will be completely eliminated despite the challenges. He said that he is confident about the three armed forces, police and intelligent units. The President pointed out that peace was established in the country due to the proper management of the three armed forces and the intelligence units since the 21st of this month. The President said that the three armed forces and the intelligence units should get the total honour in this regard. The President was speaking at the district progress review meeting of the stand together programme held at Ampara, Uhana Maha Vidyalaya. Daily activities of the country should be maintained as usual to defeat terrorism. The President said that a proper defence system is implemented in the country and the people should give their full support to the security authority. He said that the final report of the committee appointed to look into the Easter Sunday terrorist attack would be received next week. He added that strict legal action will be taken for those who are responsible.
