Minister Mangala Samaraweera says, a new Act will be introduced rectifying the lapses in the Consumer Affairs Authority Act. The objective is to further protect consumer rights. The Minister added, the law will be strictly enforced against traders who attempt to raise the prices of goods and services citing the amended fuel prices as an excuse.
