The religious leaders and intellectuals commend Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe’s decision taken on Madraza schools and not to divide schools based on religion.

Venerable Prof.Vijithapure Wimalarathana Thera says that the government should not allow anyone to establish Madraza schools and Shariya universities in Sri Lanka.
Venerable Kiniyawela Uparathana Thera says that schools should be maintained as a place where religious and national harmony is practiced.

Retired Deputy Director of Education S.C.S.Jayarathne said that all schools and universities should be functioned under one common law.

Senior advocate Palitha Senadeera stated that all institutes of education should be maintained under high standards
