The government has allocated a sum of 21.5 billion rupees for the program of resettle the families who have lost their houses due to landslides or have faced a threat of possible landslide. Over 15,000 such families are to be resulted in safe areas within a period of 5 years. Director of the National Relief Services Centre Chaminda Pathirage told SLBC that this 5 year plan is now afoot in 16 districts.
