Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe says renovation activities of the Zion Church in Batticaloa which was damaged due to Easter Sunday Attacks will be completed before the forthcoming Christmas. He made these remarks on an observation tour at the church today. He said nearly 240 million rupees has been paid on behalf of the deceased and injured persons due to Easter Sunday Attacks. The Prime Minister also expressed views on the safety on the future of the children who were affected by the attacks and paying compensation for damaged properties.
The Prime Minister appreciated the progress of the renovation activities of the church conducted by the Army. Reverend Father of the church Roshan Mahesh Manoshan has paid his gratitude to the government including the Prime Minister for their support. He has also emphasized the honour of all communities to the Prime Minister for his contribution to rebuild the properties and lives since the attack.
