The sole right to distribute films in Sri Lanka continues to remain with the National Film Corporation

Board member of the National Film Corporation: Anura Rathnayaka says, the sole right to distribute films in Sri Lanka lies with the National Film Corporation.
Speaking at a media briefing held in Colombo today he said, the Restraining Order sought by a private film company, calling for the prohibition of the sole distributional rights being vested with the National Film Corporation, was withdrawn by the Courts.
He also stated, before films are released for distribution, they are evaluated by an expert committee.
