The Terrorist Investigation Department has informed Colombo Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage with regard to the bank account transactions of the nine suspects arrested at the copper factory in Wellampitiya. A statement was recorded from Karuppaiah Abudullah, a suspect arrested and remanded under Terrorist Prevention Act.

Karuppaiah Rajendran Abdullah, an employee attached to the Wellampitiya copper factory arrested in connection with the Easter Sunday explosion was remanded till July 29 by Colombo Additional Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage. The Magistrate fixed further inquiries of the first nine suspects for October 07.

Meanwhile, the Fort Magistrate Court informed yesterday that a verdict or an order will be given with regard to the appeal made by former Senior Assistant Secretary of Ministry of Defence requesting anticipatory bail preventing him getting arrested in connection with the Avant Guard arm warehouse.
