The first Randoli Perahara of the Kandy Esala Pageant will parade the streets this evening.
The final Kumbal Perahara was held last night.
As a tradition, indigenous communities of the Dambana area will offer bees honey to the Sacred Tooth Relic on the first day of the Randoli Perahara.

Meanwhile, special bus services and train services are operational from Colombo to Kandy, in view of the Kandy Esala Pageant.
The Central Province Passenger Transport Board is even transporting passengers free-of-charge along several routes.
A number of community health services are also being conducted, supported by the Kandy YMBA, Sarvodaya, Saukya-daana, and the Red Cross.
