The Minister further stated, another 1,000 units of dialysis equipment will be imported before the close of this year, for continuous treatment to be administered for patients suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease of Unknown Origin.
Joining in the discussion, Public Relations Officer at the Ministry of Health Dr. Upul Gunasekera said, previously, kidney patients were seen brining letters from Ministers to gain access to various treatment methods, however, now, since equipment is accessible without a shortage, such a situation is not seen.
