Pakistani Prime Minister visits Pakistan-controlled Kashmir, amid tension with India

Pakistani Prime Minister, Imran Khan visited Pakistan-controlled Kashmir yesterday, amid the on-going tension with India, after India scrapped the special status of Indian-controlled Kashmir.

During his visit – in an address to the Legislative Assembly of Pakistan-controlled Kashmir – Khan said, his country will move the United Nations and the International Court of Justice, to win the rights of the people of Indian-controlled Kashmir.

Pakistan is also celebrating its Independence Day. The government has dubbed the day as ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’, in a demonstration of support to the Kashmiris.
