The Government of Japan has scheduled to grant an aid package to purchase security equipment to the police and aviation companies of Sri Lanka to prevent future terrorist incidents. Accordingly, 1.6 billion rupees is scheduled to be granted. The Cabinet has granted approval to sign the agreement. The grant is given to safeguard the security of the public and to prevent further terrorist activities in the country.
