In Syria, at least 60 died in clashes between anti-government fighters and regime forces in Idlib yesterday. The Idlib offensive comes despite a deal signed in September last year by Moscow and rebel backer Ankara to avert a full-blown assault in the region. At a press conference in Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin with Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed serious concern over the violence in Northwestern Syria. The Syrian civil war has killed more than 370,000 people and displaced millions since 2011.
