One billion rupees has been saved by a coal tender this year

Minister Ravi Karunanayaka says that one billion rupees has been saved by a coal tender this year. Ha said that purchasing of coal to produce electricity, is being done in a transparent manner. He further said that purchasing of coal is taking place under his full supervision and instructions. He pointed out that those steps were taken to prevent the wastage of national wealth. Chairman of Sri Lanka coal company Uditha Dewasurendra disclosed that there would not be a shortage of coal.
